  Grown from a vision by parishioners of Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, NY; Faith Furniture’s mission is….. “To provide the basic needs of as many people as possible by providing low cost furniture.”

  The original idea was grown out of a visit to a similar Outreach Ministry of Ginghamsburg Church in Dayton, Ohio . After much discussion and tours of other such facilities to decide on how to proceed with the mission, we wanted a location that would be near to the people who would need us the most. “Hospitality Row” on Eagle Street in Utica seemed to be the logical choice.

  In June of 2002 purchase was made of an old abandoned building at 140 Eagle St., along with the adjoining lot to secure room for the future. That was the easy part! Over the course of the next year; with countless volunteer hours (along with the unbelievable outpouring of generous donations from numerous local merchants and agencies), Faith Furniture finally opened its doors on August 23, 2003 Faith Furniture, although a “notfor-profit” ministry, elected from the beginning to remain on the tax roles to avoid eroding the City’s tax base and thereby helping to rejuvenate the areas economy. Proceeds from sales remain solely at Faith Furniture to pay utilities, building upkeep and for future projects. Sales associates and management are comprised solely of volunteers; there is absolutely no paid staff at Faith Furniture! Part of the mission of Trinity United Methodist Church is “To Share the Gifts of the Spirit.” Faith Furniture will continue to strive to fulfill this philosophy!

We are now able to offer free "curbside" delivery service.
  There is a no charge for delivery, but donations are welcome for fuel consideration and if possible to assist in loading our trailer.
  Arrangements for deliveries cam be made at time of sale. Delivery will be made to the sidewalk in front of the purchasers’ resident only, due to liability issues we are unable to assist in bringing purchased items inside the home. Otherwise it is suggested that you make arrangements to pick up your furniture at the time of your purchase.

  We offer a consistently changing array of quality pre-owned furniture at reasonable, but firm prices, along with an assortment of lamps and tabletop appliances. We do not handle washers, dryers, refrigerators or similar “large” appliances. We also do not handle baby/infant/toddler furniture or other items.
  Availability is on a “first come – first served” basis. Cash is preferred for payment. Service agencies are suggested to contact Faith Furniture for other payment options

Donations
  Faith Furniture is constantly searching for and accepting donations of well cared for pieces suitable for re-sale. We will accept single items or entire estates. Arrangements for estate donations should be made by calling the office to have a volunteer visit to determine how best for us to handle acceptance.
  All donations are tax deductible! Single/small donations can be dropped off to us at 140 Eagle St. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10 am and 2 pm, or you may call to make other arrangements for your convenience if necessary. (315) – 733-3292 or info@faithfurniture.org
